Default tire size

Will 29X10.5 15's fit on a stock xj wheel (currently have 235 75 R15's)? I am looking at Interco's TrXus STS.

http://www.intercotire.com/site35.php

Does anyone have any opinions on this tire? My XJ is stock, no lift. I'm hoping these will fit with no mods. Thanks.

Default Re: tire size

The stock XJ rim is 15x7, so according to the table from your link the tires will fit on the rim. I think the 10.5 inch width might let the tires rub on the LCAs with the stock rim backspacing.

Default Tire clearance

Those tires will definitely hit the lower control arm on tight turns. Other than that they will probably work. You can adjust the stops to keep your wheels from turning so tight, since those tires have a pretty chunky tread, I would hate to see you tear a lug off and ruin a tire.

Even a 235 makes the wheel well looked stuffed, you should add a budget boost kit, to give your tires some more clearance.

Thumbs up RE: Tire Size

You could always try these, I really want a set but they are way down on the list.
