Off-Road.com BBS: ENSENADA OFF ROAD WALK OF FAME !!!!!!!

Fellow Off Road Racers, Fans and Off Road Family as well:

After a few years of cooking this project finally i decided to go public and start to look for the support and sponsorship to do it, thanks to my friend Gabriel Garcia from El Vigia News Paper in Ensenada he told me that it was time to start it.

The "ENSENADA OFF ROAD WALK OF FAME" or "PASEO DE LA FAMA DEL OFF ROAD DE ENSENADA" (in Spanish), will be right in the Riviera Convention Center Walkway over the Costero Blvd; it will start at Club Rotario Ave. (where contingency normally goes by) and finish at Castillo Ave. right in the corner of Santa Isabel Hotel, this walkway is the traditional place where the Start of the famous Baja 500 and Baja 1000 races take place and in this 2007 it is my intention and hope it's yours too if any of you guys decide to help us, to officially open or inaugurate the Off Road Walk Of Fame as part of the 40th anniversary of the Baja 1000 festivities.

The idea is to Start in a CRONOLOGICAL order from Club Rotario Ave. towards Castillo Ave. and in that direction build a Quality Tourist Walkway obviously dressed up with pictures, memories and history of the Baja�s on the sides all of them with a weather and traffic resistant materials, and over the floor just like Hollywood's Walk of Fame the Stars of our sport no mattering what nationality they are and or if they already passed away or not, they will have the appreciation and honor they deserve, and something that will make the difference between Hollywood's Walk and ours for Off Road will be that instead of a star our racers will have a Steering Wheel, in the case of legends that still alive we will ask them to print their hands also, future inclusions will also print their hands next to the Steering Wheel.

I know this is a very big project but it can be done, the first step is to go public which i already did, and the next step is to ask for the support of Arquitects, Engineers and Graphic Design Specialists to design a nice and respectable Walk, also with the support and sponsorship of racers or companies involved in the sport it can be done.
