My dad had a 93 explorer, and I own an 83 ranger and they have the same setup as your two trucks, dana 35 vs dana 28, etc.
You will have to swap both the axle beams and the radius arms. The beams have different mounting holes for the differential, plus this way you can be sure the axleshafts are located properly. I haven't done the swap yet myself, but you might be able to take the combination of the beam, spindle, and radius arm from each side as an assembly, and just bolt it back on to the bII. I'm not 100% sure this is the correct procedure, but I think it would be best to take the driver's side off first, then the passenger side. When reinstalling, do the reverse -- passenger then driver. Obviously you'll need to disconnect the front driveshaft, brake lines, shocks, and coil retainers before you start dropping the suspension. I'd remove the front differential carrier as well. From reading the tech library over at therangerstation.com, I understand the radius arm mounting on the axle beams and the lower shock mounts are slightly different. The rear radius arm mounts, coil buckets, and upper shock mounts are a direct fit. Make sure to get new bushings (no sense putting old worn out ones back in). Also a good set of gas shocks, since the D35 is heavier and it really could have used better damping, even from the factory in the Explorer. As for the brakes, I don't think you need to change anything in the truck to fit front calipers and rear drums from an Explorer. If you went to four wheel discs, then you'd need a master cylinder from an Explorer with 4 wheel discs. Finally, your front driveshaft will have to be modified to fit. I'm not sure about the length for a BroncoII, but I know going from Explorer to Ranger the driveshaft has to be modified, also the u-joints are bigger on the D35. It would be better to swap in the same sized u-joints on both ends of the driveshaft. Do a search on the web and you can find conversions for the Borg Warner transfer case to a flange style mount for the front of the transfer case.
