7 lug wheels or 8 lug conversion
      #1554828 - Thu Jan 25 2007 02:40 PM

I have a 97 F250 light duty and would like to get different rims. Does anybody know if there is an 8 lug coversion kit made for this truck? I talked to the part guy at Ford and he said I could get the parts to make the 10.25 rearend 8 lug but they only have the parts to make the 8.8 frontend 5 lug. If I have to stay with 7 lugs does any body know where I can get 16" rims?

I got onto centerlinewheels.com and they listed 7 lug tires in every size and style that i checked. You have to call to get prices and to order; and there office was closed when i called. I will call back and find out for sure as soon as i get the chance.

I called centerline the rims are $255 a piece for polished (because they have them in stock) and $355 a piece for cromed. That's a little more than I care to spend. Maybe i'll end up biting the bullet, but for now i guess i'll keep on looking.
