Default battery powered fan or engine mount?

i just swapped my motors out in my 87' bronco and in the process of putting it all back together. i am looking for feedback, should i put a batterypowered fan in or go with the factory fan. i've heard that the electric fan is better when going through mud, and puddles because i can shut it off. is this the only advantage? and the engine mounted does the job already. gonna be swamping the truck in some mud and deep puddles.
