That's typically a sign of a dead EEC, but that's the LAST thing to replace because it's the most expensive & least likely (in general). Get a Haynes manual & a cheap multimeter, and see if the relay is sticking because the EEC is holding it on, or if it's mechanical (like MudLake's was). In either case, read the thread linked below.

For a LOT less money, you could have cut off those crappy Ford-style relays & swapped in the more common, more RELIABLE Bosch/ISO style relays used on '92-96 trucks. Read
