Wheel Bearing...Help Me! I am replacing my front right bearing on my 95' 2.7L Taco, and I can't figure out how to get the old one out. The new bearing is not like any other I have seen before, It doesn't have the tabs you bend down, etc... I took the disc off, and the hub off and then a bolt on the end of the axle. Then I got to a snap ring clip and a washer behind it and now I see a brass(?) ring with 6 slits in it. What do I do now? The guys at the stealership had no clue what I was talking about, they were explaining the tabs and showing me the tool to remove the axle nut, etc... It's different though, can anyone help?
I attached a picture I found in the article about installing a new CV... My truck looks the same, but i took off the snap ring around the axle, and the washer behind it... |
