Default Wheel Bearing...Help Me!

I am replacing my front right bearing on my 95' 2.7L Taco, and I can't figure out how to get the old one out. The new bearing is not like any other I have seen before, It doesn't have the tabs you bend down, etc... I took the disc off, and the hub off and then a bolt on the end of the axle. Then I got to a snap ring clip and a washer behind it and now I see a brass(?) ring with 6 slits in it. What do I do now? The guys at the stealership had no clue what I was talking about, they were explaining the tabs and showing me the tool to remove the axle nut, etc... It's different though, can anyone help?

I attached a picture I found in the article about installing a new CV... My truck looks the same, but i took off the snap ring around the axle, and the washer behind it...

the picture you show is confussing to me. YOU say you have everything taken off. the wheel bearing is in your knuckle or aka spindle. The pic you where showing me did not have a wheel bearing in it or anything that would contain a wheel bearing from a tacoma. If you do not have a very heavy press you will have to take the kunckle to a shop or stealership to press out the old and press in the new.

I am very confused. So there is no wheel bearing, like the usual ones on most vehicles? I purchased a bearing and it cost $80, and it wasn't and inner and outer like normal. It looks more like a skateboard/rollerskate wheel bearing.

ok i am going to attach a photo of the knuckle or aka spindle that the front wheel bearing gets pressed into.. in fact the picture is showing a new wheel bearing being pressed in. There is no inner or outer and i don't know what you think is normal. The skateboard bearing is normal to me. Hope this helps and answers all your questions.. so you need to get this spindle out and take it somewhere to have the old one pressed out and the new one pressed in.

Yes, I think that does help.
So I need to pull out my spindles and more to have the bearings pressed in?

correct. YOur spindle houses the bearing. and the bearing rides on the hub. make sure the hub is not all torn up. Alot of times when a wheel bearing goes bad it will ruin the hub it rotates around as well. So you have to get your spindles out and have someone use a press and press out your bad wheel bearing and then have them use a press and press in the new wheel bearing. I would let a dealership do this since they have a lot of tools and know how to do this on a tacoma. But some local shops might be fine.
