I was wanting to know how much somthing like that would run me. i am also having trouble finding this kit on the internet. every one that i have found was for 5 lug. if you can find any sites that would carry the 6 in fabtech for my truck id appreciate it...thanks |

| | | Re: Tacoma Fabtech i want to run 33in all terrain tires. im gonna be driving mostly on the streets but at least once a week i take it out on dirt roads with bad washes. The roads that i take my truck on RATTLE the :censored::censored::censored::censored: out of it. i want the suspension to minimizes the rattle of my truck. im lookin at spending around $2,500 all together for front and rear suspension. If i can go cheaper i would cuz im on a pretty tight budget. I also want the stance of my truck to have that cali look. A few inches higher in the front so i dont have that stink bug stance. but i also want it to handle the desert and loose sand. but i will only be taking it out there maybe 3 times a year at most.
thanks, eric |

| | Re: Tacoma Fabtech ok well the fabtech is not the lift you want. And trust me you do NOT want your front to be a few inchs higher then the rear.. But you also do NOT want the rear higher.. A nice level ballance looks and performs the best. I would say get some Hoes or kings for the front(a nice coilover) and some custom leafs(hoes, deaver) for the rear. Go two inchs in the lift and then do a 2inch roger brown body lift and some 33's. Your lift will cost just at about the 2500 mark and it will clear the 33's nice and improve your ride from night to day! A great lift for that type of offroading. |

| | | Re: Tacoma Fabtech thanks, ill look into that. now was there a hoe or king KIT i can get for the front?? or were you strictly talking about the coilovers? my friends tell me that having the front higher than the rear gives you better traction...is that true? And what are the pros and cons about the fabtech kit in my case? i heard that fabtech was the way to go for more city driving.
thanx, eric |

| | Re: Tacoma Fabtech The hoes or kings are coilovers. You can adjust the lift from 0-3 inchs on them. But i would go only 2inchs for a few good reasons. that is why i also said get a 2inch body lift to clear the 33's. Having the front higher then the rear might help a little because it might change your weight ratio from front to rear. But it looks dumb and will make your ride worse. If you want traction then get a locker. Pros of the fabtech lift are .. gives you 6inchs of lift without messing up steering, cv's etc. So now you can clear 33's or 35's with a little more lift. Keeps trucks handeling like stock
Cons- out of your budget.. will cost at least 2800-3000 to buy the lift and have it installed. Does not help the ride on those dirt trails and it will feel like it does stock. Truck will be down a few days when lift is being installed. |

How is having the front higher than the rear going to change the weight ratio??? Your not taking anything off the front or adding anything. Mine is 1" higher in the front and rides fine. |

| | | Re: Tacoma Fabtech hmmm...well how about if i get the "dirt logic" coilovers? will that make the ride smooth? i heard those are the best you can get with fabtech. i will most likely look into wut you told me cuz i definatly need a smoother ride cuz it feels like my trucks gonna fall apart haha

| | Re: Tacoma Fabtech ok sorry to have hurt feelings. THIS IS IMO only... I think unless you really have a long travel runner it looks dumb to have the front higher then the rear. And your right i miss worded my thoughts,, it does not change the weight ratio but the way the weight can effect the rear traction when you hit the gas.SOrry once again.
As for the dirt logics they are so new and have not been proven at all. ONE MORE TIME I WILL SAY GO WITH THE HOES OR THE KINGS. I have no idea why you are so about fabtech or who is giving you this information. Good luck with your journy and i hope it turns out like you want |
