Default 1965 scout 80 steering HELP!

Hello, just found out that offroad had a forum and need some help from you guys here she goes,
A long time ago i got a scout from a family freind for nothing. Its in not to bad shape surprisingly! Anyways i put a spring over lift in it in hopes to make an nice occasional off-road/hunting vehicle. I was allways amazed were this thing would go stock but after braking an oil filter off and hitting everything, I put the lift and some 33's on the old girl. But the lift has bunged up the steering bigtime! its tight but it will flex the whole tow-bar up and down when steering... how can i strengthen it or what can i do to make it dependable?!?! I put a dropped pitman arm on it helped a little. I have all the riggin to fabricate and would like to keep the same axles PLEASE HELP any suggestions or QUestions is a start.. i could just get a jeep... but i want the scout its just different, Thank you

You have two choices. You can find a high steering kit in all the catalogs. Or you can be creative and build a new drag link. Z bar drag links need to be beefed up so they don't speghetti up. That's all I can give you for info. Hope it helps.
